The AGRI 5 Expo, now in its 12th year, offers a unique opportunity for African farmers to gain practical insights directly from experienced commercial farmers. The event focuses on scaling farming operations across poultry, livestock, dairy, crop, and piggery commodities, while providing support for black farmers to develop their produce into value-added products and access broader markets.

The expo serves as a platform for both private companies and government agencies to engage with farmers. Through workshops and exhibitions, participants can showcase social programs, facilitate dialogue, and share development experiences. The event emphasizes transforming primary produce into secondary commodities, enabling farmers to create new revenue streams and grow their operations as profitable businesses.

Atone Works, a key partner of the AGRI 5 Expo, believes that this approach will drive measurable growth for black commercial and emerging farmers. By connecting farmers with opportunities within the agri-processing value chain, the expo helps ensure that produce meets market requirements, creating real business opportunities. The event also encourages companies to participate strategically, enabling in-depth discussions to address objectives for farmer development and market integration.

In 2025, the AGRI 5 Expo will take place across three provinces in South Africa, targeting a combined 30,000 active African farmers:

  • Eastern Cape: 25-26 September at The Buffalo Club, East London
  • KwaZulu-Natal: 30-31 October at The Breeze Inn, Pietermaritzburg
  • Limpopo: 20-21 November at Tzaneen Country Lodge, Tzaneen

Farmers attending the AGRI 5 Expo will benefit from expert-led workshops, networking opportunities, and direct exposure to agri-processing innovations. The event equips young and emerging farmers with the knowledge to turn their primary produce into profitable commodities while fostering sustainable growth in the agricultural sector.

By participating, farmers gain access to valuable mentorship, market insights, and practical strategies to scale their operations. Companies and government stakeholders gain the chance to contribute meaningfully to the development of African farmers, ensuring the sector continues to grow sustainably and inclusively. The AGRI 5 Expo remains a critical platform for transforming agricultural potential into tangible business success.
