Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Welcomes New Assistant Agricultural Practitioners

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is hosting its first induction programme for newly appointed Assistant Agricultural Practitioners at Fumani Lodge in the Waterberg District. The two-day programme, which began on 5 February 2026, brings together young professionals from across the province to prepare them for hands-on roles in supporting farmers and rural communities. The initiative reflects the department’s focus on youth empowerment and its commitment to boosting agricultural productivity and economic growth in the region. Participants are introduced to the department’s systems, policies, and operational practices, giving them the tools to contribute effectively to agricultural development.
