On 4 December 2025, the Umfolozi community witnessed a significant boost for small-scale farmers. TWK marketer Mondli Ngcamu teamed up with the Umfolozi Municipality LED Office to support farmers living near the Umfolozi Game Reserve. These farmers have faced challenges with ticks and livestock diseases transmitted by wildlife.

After being approached for guidance, Mondli Ngcamu provided practical solutions to improve livestock health. The initiative included a hands-on training session that covered tick control, Foot and Mouth Disease awareness, and general herd management techniques. Farmers gained practical skills they could implement immediately to protect their herds.

To help put these lessons into action, the municipality purchased 200 sprays and eight 5-liter dip products from TWK and donated them to local farmers. The contributions provide immediate protection against parasites and disease, marking an early Christmas gift that supports real change on the ground.

This partnership demonstrates the impact of combining expertise with community support. Farmers are better equipped to manage livestock health, herds are healthier, and local agriculture becomes more resilient. The initiative strengthens both the economic and food security prospects for the Umfolozi community.
