Stakeholders, including farmers, industry experts, and partners, convened to strengthen partnerships and identify innovative solutions. The Indaba highlighted strategies for early detection, vaccination programs, and sustainable disease management practices. Knowledge sharing and joint problem-solving were key objectives, ensuring that all participants left with actionable plans to reduce FMD risks.

The two-day Indaba reinforced the importance of collective action in combating FMD. By fostering collaboration, innovation, and practical engagement, the event aimed to protect livestock, safeguard farmer livelihoods, and enhance food security across KwaZulu-Natal.
