Swartland Show 2025 Delivers a Feast of Agriculture, Entertainment and Community Engagement

The Swartland Show, the largest agricultural exhibition in the Western and Southern Cape, returned from Wednesday, 3 September to Saturday, 6 September 2025. The event drew around 20,000 visitors, highlighting the region’s agricultural strengths and community spirit.

Jacques Bester, President of the Swartland Show, led the event with his trademark passion for farming and commitment to showcasing the region. His leadership ensures that the show remains both a celebration of agriculture and a platform for local engagement.

Afgri, the anchor sponsor, supported a program that included a wide range of activities appealing to diverse audiences. Visitors experienced world-class livestock championships, featuring the province’s finest horses, cattle, sheep, and poultry. The machinery exhibition, valued at R230 million, showcased the latest agricultural innovations and equipment, offering farmers practical insights into improving productivity.

The show included specialized programs such as the Regional Youth Show, which encourages young people to engage in agriculture, and the Agricultural Seminar, providing expert knowledge on current trends and challenges in the sector. The popular Ladies’ Day attracted over 500 attendees, offering a space for networking, entertainment, and learning.

Visitors also enjoyed a variety of exhibitors, a wine garden, restaurants, and extensive children’s entertainment, making the event family-friendly. The Swartland Show continues to strengthen ties between local businesses, farmers, and the wider community, cementing its reputation as a cornerstone of agricultural promotion in the region.

The 2025 edition of the Swartland Show reinforced its role as a premier platform for showcasing agricultural excellence, supporting youth development, and providing memorable experiences for visitors of all ages.
