The Bareki Community in Mamaneng, Moutse West, has reached an important milestone that could reshape agricultural activity in the area after 133 title deeds were officially handed over to beneficiaries. MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Basikopo Rodgers Makamu, joined the Ministerial Title Deed Handover Ceremony, where Deputy Minister of Land Reform and Rural Development, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha, officially handed over the documents. The title deeds secure land rights for beneficiaries across Ditholong, Mamaneng and Matatadibeng, with each household receiving between 10.5 and 12.5 hectares of land ownership. For a rural community with agricultural potential, secure land ownership provides an important foundation for long-term farming and investment. The next priority is now to ensure that the land becomes productive and contributes to household incomes, food production, employment and economic growth in the surrounding communities.
