The prestigious New Harvest of the Year award went to Rudzani Sadiki. He runs a diversified farm, producing sunflower, cattle, sheep, and broilers. His approach combines modern techniques with strong management practices, enabling consistent yields and sustainable operations.

Francois Rossouw was named the 2025 Toyota SA/AgriSA Young Farmer of the Year. Earlier this year, he earned the title of Agri Western Cape’s young farmer of the year. His farming portfolio focuses on table grapes, where he has implemented precision farming methods to improve both yield and quality. His recognition reflects his commitment to innovation and sustainable practices in viticulture.

The Communal Farming Association award went to Iqhude Supply and Farming, based in the Elim area. Their operations include flower cultivation, cattle, and sheep. The association has shown remarkable collaboration, combining traditional communal farming practices with modern management techniques to boost productivity and community impact.

These awards underscore the importance of diversified farming, innovation, and sustainable practices in South Africa’s agricultural sector. Winners receive recognition, technical support, and opportunities to share best practices with other farmers.

The Toyota SA agricultural awards continue to inspire farmers across the country to adopt innovative methods, improve productivity, and contribute to the growth of South Africa’s food and agricultural sector.
